silhouette w/ tinted background

A silhouette is the image of a person, an object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, its edges matching the outline of the subject. The interior of a silhouette is featureless

Below are examples of
silhouettes

Tinting color-
To "tint" a color means to add white. The color will become lighter in hue the more white you add.

For this project you will be selecting a warm color ( yellow, red, orange) or a cool color (green, blue, purple) to tint.  On a canvas board you will be creating a gradual gradient using your base color and a variety of tints. Ontop of your background you will then paint a black silhouette of an object of your choice.
