Still Life
A still life (plural still lifes) is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate
subject matter, typically commonplace objects which may be either
natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells) or man-made (drinking
glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). Goal- Create an accurate, to scale drawing of what you see in front of you.
Things to remember
* What object does your eye hit first when looking at the still life?
* What objects are in the foreground, middle ground and background.
* Where is are the light and dark areas due to light source?
Materials-
You may use a variety of drawing mediums when creating your still life. You may choose from the following
Black and white chalk
Colored chalk
Colored pencil
#2 pencil
Oil Pastel
