When I grade your Still Life this is what I will be looking for...

Abstract Still Life Rubric
2pt. Object Proportions-
are objects in the correct area?
are the objects the correct size?
2pt. Drawing As A Whole-
is your drawing neat?
can I tell where your objects are?
2pt. Use Of Materials-
did you layer your color pencil colors?
do you have a darker outline and a lighter color in the middle of the object?
2pt. Color Choice-
do you have different colors in each section?
did you use colors of the same family in one section?
2pt. Overall-
can I tell where your objects are?
are there different values and shades in your drawing?
does your art piece all filled?

Abstracted Still Life

Continue working on your still life.
 Remember you need to use a different color for each broken up section. Example you do not want to put your orange section right next to another orange section.

You need to keep working on your optical illusion. Any that you have not finished up until this point please do so today! Here is the next illusion we are going to complete as a class.

You are all doing a great job of looking on the internet and copying the optical illusions on paper. 

TODAY YOU MUST HAVE 3 FINISHED ILLUSIONS

1: lines with boxes around it

2: initials or numbers

3: internet illusion

ATTENTION: you need to finish any existing optical illusions you have. 

ASSIGNMENT FOR TODAY: on your laptop go to google image and type in "drawn optical illusions" see what come up and practice drawing some of your own. Once you have found one you want to PERFECT show me and I will get you started with white paper. 

* Feel free to explore the internet to find more illusions.
